Here are some GK specific tips.
Teleport in Turn 1 (Gate of Infinity)
If you go second, you can place units in the Strategic Reserve at the end of your opponent's turn and deploy them via Deep Strike on Turn 1. This works because the units did not start the game in Reserve, thus bypass the rule.
Rapid Ingress doesn't work because it's "End of your opponent's Movement phase" and Gate of Infinity triggers at "End of your opponent's Fight phase". You can't bypass the Strategic Reserves rule because the unit must start at this moment in Strategic Reserves.
Hallowed Ground in No Man's Land in Turn 1 (Warpbane Taskforce)
This tip is for regular sized games. In Incursion-games the Objectives are close enough to your border.
- You need two Razorback and two Interceptor Squad which starts embarked. Copy the following for the second Razorback.
- The Interceptors disembarks before the Razorback moves, so they can act normally. They get 3" for disembarking and 12" regular movement = so they can move 15"!
- Then you move the Razorback (in cover) near the Interceptors - near means 8.99" of the farest model of the Interceptors.
- Now you have Hallowed Ground in the No Man's Land.
- In the Shooting phase you first shoot with the Razorback, so that an enemy unit is in Fire Focus (Ability of the Razorback) - your Interceptors gets +1 AP on that unit
- Chip down with the Interceptors, score some points...
- After the Interceptors had shot, they can move up to 6" so they move in the 3" embarking-bubble of the Razorback.
“At the start of any phase, if you control at least half of the objective markers within No Man’s Land, until the end of that phase, No Man’s Land is within your army’s Hallowed Ground.”
6” Deepstrike Infantry with charging (Warpbane Taskforce)
You can use the following tactic if you haven't Hallowed Ground at target.
- One 5-man-Squad of Purifiers comes down via Deepstrike and generate a 6" Hallowed Ground Bubble.
- With the Hallowed Beacon Strat you can deepstrike an Infantry-unit 6" near to an enemy unit - this can be a 10-man-block of Crowe + Purifier.
- If the enemy unit is on an Objective, you're allowed to reroll your wound rolls aswell.
- Because that the second unit deepstrikes, it can charge on 6" - there's no restriction from the Strat.
